I focused on a minimalist design and thick, impasto brushstrokes for texture. The bright reds and oranges capture my vivid memories of a West Coast summer in the USA. In that shimmering heat haze, the warm colours often split into twin reflections across different times and places. 

Childhood memories come to mind with this lively abstract painting. Woodlands always fascinated me as their tangled branches create shadows of chaos and beauty.

I used a cool green palette with lighter streaks of paint with dashes of orange as I built up the layers of paint. I had an opportunity to use experimental tools like sticks rather than regular brushes for the application.
